Job Purpose:

The Finance Committee (FC) is responsible for the facilitation of the organization’s financial operations. These include the organization’s accounts payable and accounts receivable, the management of student group information in compliance with financial policies, and the communication with student groups in regards to the funding request process. The purpose of the Finance Committee is to help the VP Finance manage the organization’s finances, uphold fiscal responsibility, and provide transparent updates to the Board of Directors and General Membership.

Members of the Finance Committee will be expected to commit approximately 10 hours a week towards their duties.

Accounts Receivable Administrator Duties:

  • Screen deposits made into accounts to ensure financial accuracy between stated and actual amounts
  • Update and analyze budget information to produce reports
  • Consolidate student group budget information (e.g. deposits, suppliers and vendor information)
  • Communicate with student groups on any outstanding payments
